What is the #1 most important thing you need in order to be successful in anything?

Ok, BIG question.
habits
 
By successful I mean something you do, have, become or create yourself.
 
Not something that somebody else created, gave you, etc.
 
I know what you are thinking.
 
Positive mindset
Desire
Intelligence
Courage to act
A lucky break
 
yada, yada, yada
 
Sure all of the things on the list are important but none of them are the real determining factor.
 
So what is the answer?
 
Drum roll please….
 
The number 1 thing you have to be successful at anything is a series of success habits that guide you toward whatever you want to be successful at.
 
It does not matter whether you want to write a book, lose 30 pounds, have a great relationship with your spouse, or anything else.
 
Set up a series of success habits that you follow daily and review weekly. Make weekly adjustments and you will be on your way to your most desired goals.
 
After coaching and training literally 1000’s of people in Martial arts, business, writing books, etc.
 
I can tell you with all certainty that the people who succeed simply set up a series of habits that follow every single day.
 
Without fail.
 
Don’t believe me?
 
Think about it.
 
I know lots of people who have a positive mindset, desire, intelligence etc. and they never accomplish anything. In fact a lot of them sit around and trash talk other people who accomplish great things.
 
On the flip side, I personally know several people who are not very intelligent, who are lacking in real desire and who never got a lucky break but who have gone on and been extremely successful at their chosen field of endeavor.
 
They were simply able to create a series of habits that pushed them closer to their goal every day.
 
The simple fact is that most people fall into 1 of 2 categories.
1. They don’t know what habits they need to follow.
2. They simpye don’t stick to the habits because they get bored or are too lazy to stay on track.
 
Here is a simple test to check yourself before you wreck yourself.
 
1. Imagine the ideal set of habits that would take you closer to your most desired goal and write them down.
 
2. Write down what you did today in as much detail as you can remember.
 
3. Ask yourself if your action took you closer to your desired goal/success or farther away.
 
If your actions moved you closer to your desires then repeat them. If they did not then take your list of ideal habits and do those things tomorrow.
 
At the end of the day ask yourself – Did I move closer or farther away from my desired success?
 
Repeat this simple process for 90 days.
 
There are no guarantees in life but I would be willing to be your a brand new $100 bill that if you did this super simple process for 90 consecutive days that you would be substantially closer to your personal idea of success than you ever imagined.
