A couple quick tips on dealing with the “Chicken Little’s” in your life and reducing your stress.
A Chicken Little is someone who is constantly surrounded by drama and in some form or another is always asking for help.
In other words the sky is continuously falling.
We all have people in our lives who are full of drama.
They will probably never change and they will suck you into their misery if you let them.
Allow yourself to get sucked in and you and your life will be in, full on, “The sky is falling mode.”
Don’t get me wrong.
Helping others and making the world a better place, is something that everyone should be working towards.
However, lets be honest, not everybody is deserving.
Look objectively at the past pattern of behavior of the Chicken Little’s in your life.
Do your best to determine how long their pattern of behavior has persisted.
For some of these Chicken LIttle’s, it has been years, if not their lifetime.
Quit wasting your life force on people who suck your time and energy but are not actually interested in your help.
There are only kinds of people you can ever help anyway
The truly desperate
The truly inspired
If people do not fit into one of these two categories they are generally not motivated to make any real changes and they are definitely not going to be open to receiving help.
Initially you make think this is a cold and uncaring.
I assure you this is far from the truth.
I am all for helping our fellow man.
I have spent most of my life helping other people (kids and adults) achieve their goals
However, I know from my own experience and the experience of many others that if people do not fit into one of the above categories I will be spinning my wheels.
One final Master Key
Don’t give advice unless someone ask for it specifically. Do NOT just volunteer.
Dedicated to your success
